Ireland goes soft on Brexit: Coveney admits June border deadline isn’t a certain



IRISH deputy prime minister Simon Coveney has confirmed the Irish border deal between the UK and European Union does not have to be entirely completed by the June deadline but insisted a “difficult summer” is still on the horizon. The Irishmen told reporters in the European Commission’s Berlaymont building, in Brussels, “nobody is saying everything has to be resolved by the end of June” after meeting with the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier.
